Reading Atlas Shrugged while this election plays out has me worried. Then I went and did that little analysis of Speakers of the House and now I'm really worried.
The Islamofascists have been getting stomped pretty thoroughly for the past 6 years, so they're not likely to be able to rally for much of a comeback in the near future. At least until Iran gets nukes.
The financial situation is another thing entirely. Bernanke crying out for another huge stimulous package of payday loans combined with Pelosi's congress which has already taken us where no budget has gone before is very troubling.
That Colin Powell endorsed Obama is not as big of a deal as, say, Denny Hastert leading us into monstrous deficits as a warm-up act for Pelosi.

Could we see a $1T deficit next year?
I know, that frightens me too. Unfortunately neither party would consider a path other than the one we are currently on.
