The 50th state turns 50 today. I wasn't born in Hawaii, but spent time living there as a child. And while the place was in no way perfect during the late 60's, I have a fondness of the place that comes from childhood memories. So despite the state downplaying the anniversary, I want to wish Hawaii a happy five-oh.
