I think every political party has their share of lunatics as does every religion, not to mention some families. I just don't watch the news because it is staged and what we see is approved by a group of station owners before it is shown. Ditto for newspapers in America. I can't take any of so-called news, seriously.
Abe, unfortunately the news has been turned into entertainment. sort of like "pro wrestling." As a result it promotes fringe elements to maximize conflict and drama and casts everything in the most dramatic terms. Unfortunately ignoring it has its own problems. Unless watched, our political system never gets beyond focusing on its own petty interests.

Damned if we do, and damned if we don't!
