This is an odd video. At our dinner party this week, everyone talked about how great it was that we elected a black man as president and how this was a major step forward for race relations. In fact, it's not a major step forward, but an indication that that step had been taken some time before.
I don't think Obama changed people's minds about race, he was the beneficiary of the fact that America has been a pretty color-blind society for quite a while.
