Dog Saves Climbers

Three climbers stranded on Mt. Hood credit their dog as key to their survival.
Rescuers reached three stranded climbers on Mount Hood Monday, finding them in good condition after they spent a night huddled with their dog to stave off the whipping wind and snow 7,400 feet up the peak.

Yet one more example of how dogs are loyal companions to humans, while cats simply try to take over the world. ;-)

Funny how cats are never involved in stories where people are wind-whipped and freezing to death. If you ask me, the dog led them up there in the hopes they would all die of exposure. Had these people followed their cats' advice, they would have spent the day curled up and snoozing in a toasty cardboard box with a towel at the bottom.

I never implied who had more common sense. ;-)

Cats do not try to take over the world. Cats have already taken over the world.

Of course, there's only one proper job for a canine - being a sled dog. Nothing's better than seeing a team of them chained together like the criminals they are, dragging heavy objects through the snow while being whipped. And to think they seem to enjoy it!
